A promotion at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. made big news in 2021.
In April, the Boston-based insurer named Virna Rhodes senior vice president of workers compensation claims. The story of her promotion was the 9th most read workers compensation-related article this year on Business Insurance’s website.
Ms. Rhodes joined Liberty Mutual in 2013 and was named vice president, global risk solutions, in January 2020, the year in which she was a Business Insurance Women to Watch award winner.
In her new position, Ms. Rhodes succeeded Wesley Hyatt, who was named chief client officer, global risk solutions, at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.
A 2019 Women to Watch honoree, Ms. Hyatt began her career with the insurer in 2003.
