BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Santa

Inflation woes won’t follow Kris Kringle into the new year, Insure.com says. Based on salary information from comparable jobs from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the North Pole’s most famous and beloved resident qualified for a 6% wage increase.

“A magically tireless work ethic” has made Santa a very valuable employee, Insure.com says, as his salary skyrocketed to $159,622 this year.

In an interview, Old Saint Nick said, “Oh, well, I don’t do any of this for money, of course. Our property at the North Pole has been paid off for centuries. And it looks as though I’m going to have to put something extra in the stockings of all those personal shoppers this year!”

In configuring Santa’s salary increase, Insure.com analysts found wage increases in 14 out of 15 categories, including shifts in the pay rate of pilots and a re-categorization of his announcer position. Other categories included “cookie and milk taster,” which saw a 3% wage increase, and “labor negotiator (with elves), racking up a 4% increase.

The only category to decrease was Santa’s job as a personal shopper, a role he fills by picking out the perfect toy for every child.
