Sampo takes full ownership of UK insurer Hastings

Finland-based insurer Sampo Oyj has agreed to buy Rand Merchant Investment Holdings Ltd.’s 30% stake in U.K.-based property and casualty insurer Hastings Group Holdings PLC for £685 million ($907million) to gain full ownership of Hastings, Euro News reported citing Reuters. Sampo and RMI bought Hastings in late 2020.
