Kuwait-based Gulf Insurance Group KSCP’s profit increased 242% year-on-year to $148.5 million in the first nine months of the year, driven by improved underwriting and investment performance and the acquisition of Axa SA’s operations in the Gulf region, Utsabd reported. GIG’s total written premium increased by more than 10% to $1.23 billion.
