Marsh McLennan Agency buys North Carolina broker

Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC on Friday said it has acquired Pelnik Insurance Inc. of North Carolina.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Pelnik has 19 employees in offices in Cary and Greensboro, North Carolina, all of whom will join MMA, the statement said Friday. The broker, which offers business insurance and employee health and benefits to midsize businesses in the mid-Atlantic, was founded in 1994 and is led by CEO Chris Pelnik.
John Stanchina, CEO of MMA’s mid-Atlantic region, said the deal would “continue to expand our reach and broaden our client offerings across North Carolina and the region.”
