According to the Independent Power Producers’ Association Nepal, private hydropower projects suffered an estimated 10 billion Nepalese rupees ($83.9 million) worth of damage due to the recent landslides and floods in Nepal, MyRepublica reported. The flooding and landslides mostly affected the transmission lines and projects under construction.
