Ikea, Lenovo goods worth $780 million trapped on Ever Given vessel

Around $780 million worth of goods belonging to companies such as Ikea Group Corp. and Lenovo Group Ltd. are stuck on the Ever Given containership currently impounded in Egypt after it blocked the Suez Canal in late March, Yahoo Finance reported citing CNN Business. The vessel, with 18,300 cargo containers on board, is in the custody of Egyptian authorities who are demanding compensation for the loss of business due to the six-day blockage of the waterway.
