Skyward, tech underwriter partner on flood risks

Houston-based Skyward Specialty Insurance Group said Tuesday it has entered into a partnership with Denver-based reThought Insurance Corp., a technology and underwriting managing general agent that will underwrite complex commercial flood risks.
It said coverage will be available through a select group of partner distributors for a broad range of classes, with primary and excess limits of up to $20 million per risk and $100 million for replacement values available.
Skyward said eThought brings to the partnership the ability to visualize, assess, underwrite and price commercial flood coverage for complex risks with its proprietary underwriting methodology and risk assessment technology.
