Uptake of M&A insurance to grow in Asia Pacific

A report by U.K.-based insurance broker BMS Group Ltd. said that the uptake of general mergers and acquisition insurance has continued to increase in the Asia Pacific region despite a small dip in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Asia Insurance Review reported. The use of M&A insurance in Asia Pacific is expected to increase this year as deal parties increasingly demand such policies to get transactional liabilities covered and as the insurers’ appetite for M&A deals grows.
