BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

U.K. risk and insurance management association Airmic has appointed past Ferma president Julia Graham as its new CEO.

Airmic’s former deputy CEO and technical director takes over from John Ludlow, who announced he was stepping down last October.

Ms. Graham has more than 35 years’ experience in senior risk management and insurance positions. She served as director of risk management and insurance at global law firm DLA Piper and had been Airmic’s deputy CEO and technical director since 2015.

Ms. Graham is a board member of the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations, and serves as a non-executive director of several captive insurance companies.

Mr. Ludlow will hand over to Ms. Graham this month and continue to hold several non-executive board positions, including at Airmic.
