Everest names former Scor, Chubb execs to C-level posts

Everest Re Group Ltd. has named Mark Kociancic, most recently group chief financial officer at Scor SE, as executive vice president and group chief financial officer, and Jim Williamson, most recently division president, small business, for Chubb Ltd., as executive vice president and group chief operating officer, the Bermuda reinsurer said in a statement Wednesday.

In its own statement Wednesday, France-based Scor SE said it had named Ian Kelly, head of investor relations, to succeed Mr. Kociancic as chief financial officer, effective Oct. 2. Mr. Kelly will also join Scor’s group executive committee.

Mr. Kociancic and Mr. Williamson will serve on the Everest executive leadership committee and report directly to President and CEO Juan C. Andrade, the Everest statement said.

Mr. Kociancic, whose appointment becomes effective Oct. 12, succeeds Craig Howie, who will stay with Everest through December 31, 2020, to ensure an orderly transition, the statement said.

Mr. Williamson’s appointment is effective Oct. 5.

Mr. Andrade, president and CEO, praised Mr. Kociancic’s “strong capital markets and investments experience” and Mr. Williamson’s “extensive property and casualty industry experience.”
