Cyclone hits Greece, causes widespread damage

Cyclone Ianos hit Greece on Sep. 18 and caused widespread damage and disruption, BBC reports. The cyclone brought heavy rains that flooded around 5,000 homes, triggered landslides, damaged roads and brought down power lines causing power outage. Train services linking the north and south of the country were cut off, and flights and ferry services were also cancelled.
