BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Deadline extended for Women to Watch nominations

Following numerous requests for more time, Business Insurance has extended the deadline to submit nominations for the 2020 Women to Watch Awards until 11:59 p.m. Central on Aug. 19. This will be a hard deadline.

The program, which is in its 15th year, recognizes female executives working in risk management, insurance and related fields. Honorees are recognized for their accomplishments, expertise, leadership and future prospects.

Conditions allowing, winners will be recognized at two awards events, which will include professional development programing for honorees and others interested in the issue of gender diversity in the insurance sector.

Women to Watch from Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be recognized at the London event in November, while Women to Watch from North America and the rest of the world will be recognized at the New York event in December.

Considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible the recognition events will change to hybrid or completely virtual events.

Winners for both programs will be announced on businessinsurance.com in September and profiled in the December issue of Business Insurance.
