QBE North America appoints COO

QBE North America has named Dan Moore as chief operating officer, effective immediately, the New York-based unit of Australian insurer QBE Insurance Ltd. said in a statement Wednesday.
His appointment follows the recent departure of former COO Daniel Franzetti to CNA.
Mr. Moore, who has served as COO on an interim basis since January, will report to QBE North America CEO Todd Jones and will also serve as a member of QBE’s North America executive committee, the statement said. He will be based in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
In the COO role, Mr. Moore will lead claims, technology and operations and oversee communications and branding, QBE said.
Mr. Moore, who previously served as head of operations since August 2018, joined QBE in 2013 as senior vice president, claims services and has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and consulting industries.
