Richard Stevens, divisional claims director at marine insurer The Standard Club U.K. Ltd., has said that protection and indemnity insurance covers shipowner liability where a seafarer contracts coronavirus in the course of duty and the illness leads to death., Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide reported. Standard's strike and delay cover insures delays caused by mandatory quarantine and official port closures for entered ships.
