QBE North America appoints CFO

QBE North America named Christopher Castaldo as chief financial officer on Friday.
Mr. Castaldo, who joined the New York-based unit of Sydney-based QBE Insurance Group Ltd. in 2012, most recently was group head of financial planning and analysis and will take on his new role in March, QBE said in a statement.
Mr. Castaldo will be based in New York and report to Todd Jones, CEO of QBE North America, the statement said. He will also join QBE North America’s executive committee.
He succeeds Chris McGrath, who has been interim CFO of the unit since Kris Hill, the former CFO, was named president, alternative markets for QBE North America in July. Mr. McGrath will take on a new role as chief strategy officer, specialty and commercial, a QBE spokeswoman said in an email.
