Change Healthcare Inc. has enhanced its claim attachments process to enable electronic submission of all documents and data to workers compensation payers, the company announced in a statement Monday.
The solution, built on Nashville-based Change Healthcare’s Intelligent Healthcare Platform, allows providers to submit documents and clinical data necessary for claim adjudication and reach any payer in the U.S. through a single workflow. The company’s platform processes nearly 14 billion health care transactions and $1 trillion in adjudicated claims, according to the statement.
Change Healthcare says this capability of adopting electronic claim attachments could create savings of more than $200 million for the health care and workers compensation industries.
Claims record retrieval company Ontellus received an investment from New York- and London-based private equity firm Aquiline Capital Partners to continue its expansion into the tech-enabled medical, billing and claims-related records procurement market.
