Willis Re snags Guy Carpenter executive

Reinsurance brokerage Willis Re has recruited David Schoenrock from rival Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC to head its global accounts business in North America, the Willis Towers Watson PLC unit announced Thursday.

Mr. Schoenrock, who was a managing director at Guy Carpenter, will divide his time between New York and Stamford, Connecticut, in the newly created role of executive vice president and head of global accounts for Willis Re North America, effective Dec. 23, the brokerage said in a statement.

In addition, Willis Re promoted Doug May to president of Willis Re North America. Mr. May, who is based in Seattle, will retain his position as manager of Willis Re’s North America business segments, the statement said.

Mr. Schoenrock will report to Mr. May.
