BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Japanese typhoons could cause $15 billion in insured losses

Analysis by U.S.-based catastrophe risk management tools provider Karen Clark & Co. found that Japanese typhoons are expected to cause insurance and reinsurance losses of more than $15 billion at least every 20 years, Artemis reports. Meanwhile, typhoon Faxai, which hit Japan on Sep. 9, is expected to cause insurance losses in the range of $3 billion to $7 billion.
