BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Todd Jones, former global head of corporate risk and broking at Willis Towers Watson PLC, will join QBE Insurance Group Ltd. on Oct. 1 as CEO of North America, the Australia-based insurer announced Thursday.

Mr. Jones succeeds Russ Johnston, who joined QBE North America in 2016 and has decided to seek opportunities outside of QBE, the insurer said in a statement.

Adam Garrard, current head of international business for Willis Towers Watson, will replace Mr. Jones as head of corporate risk and broking with immediate effect, the brokerage said in a separate U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing Thursday.

London-based Mr. Garrard will have a dual role as head of international and head of corporate risk and broking, a Willis Towers Watson spokeswoman said via email.

New York-based Mr. Jones will report to Pat Regan, group CEO, as a member of the group executive committee, with transitional support provided by Mr. Johnston, QBE said in the statement.

Mr. Johnston helped steer QBE’s North American operations through a period of significant change, simplifying the business and operating model to better align with customer needs, Mr. Regan said in the statement.

Mr. Jones, who became head of corporate risk and broking at Willis Towers Watson in 2016, was previously CEO of Willis North America and prior to that held numerous senior roles at Aon PLC in North America.
