Singapore aims to become ILS hub, cover new risks

Gillian Tan, an official at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, said that the country is looking to develop its insurance-linked securities' market to cover new risks such as terrorism, pandemics and cyber along with catastrophes, Artemis.bm reports. Singapore recently set up a commercial cyber risk pool, which is expected to be backed by both ILS and traditional reinsurance.
