BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Nonlife insurers cede more than 8% of premiums to reinsurers

A report by Swiss Re Ltd. found that nonlife primary insurers worldwide ceded $200 billion, or more than 8%, of direct written premiums to reinsurers in 2018, Asia Insurance Review reported. The report found that nonlife insurers' cessions were higher in emerging regions in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
