Europe’s main risk management association named Dirk Wegener, global head of corporate insurance for Deutsche Bank AG, as its next president.
The Brussels-based Federation of European Risk Management Associations said in a statement that Frankfurt, Germany-based Mr. Wegner, who is currently deputy president of FERMA, will take over from Jo Willaert at the 2019 FERMA Risk Management Forum in Berlin in November.
Mr. Wegner has been a FERMA board member since 2015. FERMA’s membership comprises 21 risk management associations throughout Europe.
In addition, FERMA named two new board members: Valentina Paduano, enterprise risk management specialist for Prysmian SpA, a Milan-based electrical manufacturing company; and Annemarie Schouw, manager risk and insurance at Tata Steel Europe, in IJmuiden, Netherlands.
Jo Willaert has been appointed to the newly created position of deputy president of the Federation of European Risk Management Associations.
