Energy storage system makers' operations hit by investigation

South Korean manufacturers including Samsung SDI Co.'s and LG Chem Ltd.'s energy storage system units have had to curtail operations due to delays in an investigation of series of fires that broke out in their products, Yonhap News Agency reported. All of the main producers of energy storage systems, which save power in large-scale batteries, have been hit by the delays and are reducing sales forecasts and furloughing workers.
