Insurers' premiums rise 16% in Russia

Russian insurers' gross written premiums grew nearly 16% year over year to about 1.5 trillion Russian rubles ($23 billion) in 2018, Xprimm.com reported. Nonlife insurance premiums grew more than 8% compared with 2% in 2017. Insurers settled RUB 522.5 billion worth of claims, up 2.5% from 2017.
