The wildfires in Chile have destroyed more than 100,000 hectares of forest so far, teleSUR reports. Numerous, separate blazes in the center and south of the country have been fueled by strong winds and a heat wave.
The hardest-hit area is the south-central region of O'Higgins, where fires have destroyed homes, pasture and livestock.
