BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

WHAT SURPRISED ME: The industry has been consolidating for at least the last 40 years, but there seems like there is a never-ending supply of quality firms always out there.

ADVICE: Pay attention to the people, especially the producers.

OUTSIDE THE INDUSTRY, A DREAM JOB: Real estate developer 20 years ago. Go back 20 years and figure out the best places to build.

THING MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME: I'm an experienced whitewater rafter.

HOBBIES: Travel, sailing (and) golf.
