BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
A recent dam burst in Brazil has prompted amendments to legislation in the country’s congress that would impose stricter insurance standards on the mining sector, reported Bloomberg.
The total cost to communities and the environment from the dam failure at the mine owned by BHP Billiton Ltd. and Vale S.A. is likely to total 30 billion Brazilian reals ($8 billion), said Leonardo Quintao, a congressman. Mr. Quintao, who presented the original bill in 2013, said the disaster would be used as an example to set future insurance requirements for miners.
