BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Christine LaSala named chair of Willis North America

Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. has named Christine LaSala as chair of Willis North America, the broker said in a statement Thursday.

She replaces Vic Krauze, who is stepping down at the end of the month, Willis said.

Ms. LaSala, who joined Willis in July 2014, will also retain her role as the firm's global head of client advocacy, according to the statement.

“We are thrilled to have Chris join our leadership team, and we look forward to the energy, engagement and client focus she will bring in support of our North American operations,” Dominic Casserley, CEO of Willis, said in the statement. “Willis has firmly established itself as a market leader in North America, and I'm confident with Chris' contributions we will continue to build on our momentum and success.”

Prior to joining Willis, Ms. LaSala was president of the WTC Captive Insurance Company. Prior to that she had a long career at Johnson & Higgins, where she became the first and ultimately only female director of the insurance brokerage, and she became a managing director of what is now Marsh L.L.C. after it acquired J&H.
