BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NEW YORK—Chartis Inc. and Sterling & Sterling Inc. have announced a new comprehensive coverage program for salons, day spas and tattoo parlors.

The Total Body Pac program offers property, professional liability, general liability and umbrella liability. The service is available for eligible studios offering services such as body and ear piercings, tattoo and permanent makeup applications, facials, massage, electrolysis, hair cutting and coloring, tanning, and manicures and pedicures.

“The Chartis insurers have underwritten this business segment for nearly 15 years,” said Ethan Allen, senior executive of the programs division at Chartis, in a statement. “This relationship with Sterling & Sterling brings to the table our combined experience and allows us to provide our clients with extensive insurance solutions in one convenient product, from one provider.”

Umbrella limits are available in excess of $10 million, subject to underwriting approval, and property liability covers equipment breakdown, valuable papers and records, computer equipment and theft on- and off-premises.

Offered out of Sterling & Sterling's Woodbury, N.Y., office, the Total Body Pac program also offers similar coverage for professional individuals.
