LONDON—Former Lloyd's of London CEO Nick Prettejohn has joined London-based insurer Legal & General Group P.L.C. as an independent nonexecutive director.
Mr. Prettejohn was CEO of Lloyd's between 1999 and 2005.
He then served as executive director of London-based Prudential P.L.C. and CEO of Prudential U.K. and Europe until 2009.
Mr. Prettejohn will join L&G's risk committee and remuneration committee.
He succeeds Frances Heaton, who retired from the board effective Tuesday.
LONDONNick Prettejohn, chief executive of Lloyd's of London, will leave the market at the end of the year to become chief executive of U.K. operations for London-based life insurer Prudential P.L.C.
