BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Aon acquires Swedish affinity broker

Reprints

STOCKHOLM, Sweden—Aon Sweden, the Swedish arm of Aon Corp., has acquired FörsäkringsUtveckling AB, a brokerage that specialises in affinity solutions, systems and service programs for large organisations.

FUAB was founded in 1991 by Thomas Skarbrandt and Hans Fredricson and has 14 employees. Its portfolio includes group-based health care, personal and liability insurances for over 40,000 policyholders.

"I believe that both FörsäkringsUtveckling AB and our clients were ready for a change. Together with Aon we can make better use of the technology and capacity that we have developed over the years in order to build an even stronger offer within group insurances," said Mr. Fredricson, who will work together with Charlotte Lagergren, who will be appointed new CEO of FUAB later this year.

Rim Knaup, CEO Aon EMEA North East, said: "This acquisition is complementary to our present operations and enables us to develop new strategic affinity segment products primarily emanating from the benefits area. This is a market, which we expect to grow considerably in the Nordics over the next couple of years."
