HAMILTON, Bermuda--Allan Waters has been elected chief executive officer of White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd.'s reinsurance division.
Mr. Waters--a director on the White Mountains' board since November 2005 who previously held various management positions at the company, including chief financial officer--will succeed Tom Hutton.
Mr. Hutton will remain deputy chairman of the White Mountains Re Group board, and will serve as a senior adviser to Mr. Waters, the company noted in a statement.
Hamilton, Bermuda-based White Mountains additionally noted in its announcement that Steven E. Fass is retiring from the company's board of directors.
