BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Catastrophes P/C Insurers More + Less -

PEMBROKE, BermudaEndurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. posted net income of $498.1 million for 2006, compared with a loss of $220.1 million for the previous year.

The Pembroke, Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer said it wrote total premiums of $1.95 billion in the 2006 year, up 10.3% compared with 2005.

In addition, Endurance said it estimated losses of between $30 million and $40 million from Windstorm Kyrill, which hit parts of Northern Europe in January.
