Argo plunges in red with net loss of $19 million

Bermuda-based insurer Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. posted a net loss of nearly $19 million in the second quarter of the year as compared to a net income of $67 million in the year-ago comparable period, The Royal Gazette reported. The insurer slipped into the red after incurring a loss on the sale of its Malta operations, ArgoGlobal Holdings, as well as investment losses.
