Allianz’s Russian exposure estimated at $162 million

German investment banking firm Joh. Berenberg Gossler & Co. KG expects insurer Allianz SE to record an estimated €150 million ($162 million) in total losses from its Russian exposure, Reinsurance News reported. Berenberg expects that Allianz will see impaired €1.5 billion cross-border investments in Russia in the first quarter and will offset the €100 million trade credit insurance claims at its Allianz Trade unit through reserve releases.
