Ukraine war will affect specialty reinsurance lines: S&P

U.S.-based credit ratings agency S&P Global Ratings Inc. said that the Russian invasion of Ukraine will add uncertainty and intensify earnings volatility across global reinsurers’ specialty lines such as war risk, political violence and cyber risk, Reinsurance News reported. S&P said that while reinsurers’ liability exposure to the war remains, their direct asset exposure to the conflict is minimal.
