Tokio Marine’s international unit triples profit

The international business of Japanese insurer Tokio Marine Holdings Inc. reported more than a three-fold growth in profit on a year-on-year basis to 186.6 billion Japanese yen ($1.6 billion) in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2021, Reinsurance News reported. Tokio Marine’s international unit recorded a nearly 17% increase in total net written premiums to JPY1.47 trillion.
