A Moscow court has imposed a fine of $98 million on Google Inc. and $27 million on Facebook parent company Meta Platforms Inc. for allegedly not moderating their content properly and interfering in the country's affairs, International Business Times reported citing AFP. Russian state communications regulator Roskomnadzor said that the companies ignored multiple demands to remove materials that incite religious hatred and promote views of extremist and terrorist organizations.
