BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Breakfast, emails in bed?

Sixty-five percent of remote workers have worked from their beds during the pandemic and 35% admit they have worked from a closet.

That’s according to a study of 1,520 workers by home improvement portal Craftjack, which connects homeowners with contractors.

Overall, 71% of the people surveyed said they are “improvising” with respect to their workspace with only 32% working from a “proper office.” While 31% say their bedroom is their office, 45% say it’s the couch in the living room and 51% say they’ve worked from the kitchen counter.

By industry, the study found that those working in real estate appear to conduct business in bed the most, at 80%. The least? Those working in insurance, with 42% reportedly taking up the habit.

For those who conduct video conferences, 64% say they have made an effort to curate their background in some way, but only 21% of those working in insurance have made the effort.
