A Hannover Re SE unit said reinsurance rates in Germany are likely to rise marginally at January 2019 renewals, driven by catastrophe-related losses this year, Xprimm.com reported. E+S Ruckversicherung A.G. said that rates are unlikely to rise significantly as catastrophe losses in some cases remained within primary insurers' retention limits. The reinsurer said that cyber insurance uptake is expected to increase in Germany driven by small and medium-sized enterprises.
