WannaCry cyber attack cost NHS more than $120 million

A report from the U.K.'s Department of Health found that the WannaCry cyber attack that hit the world in May 2017 cost the U.K.'s National Health Service £92 million ($121 million), The Telegraph reported. The cyber attack resulted in the cancellation of more than 19,000 appointments costing the NHS £20 million. The subsequent cleanup and upgrades to the IT systems cost £72 million.
