Experts said that the risk of dam bursts is increasing across the world due to extreme weather and inadequate risk management strategies, New Security Beat reported. The experts said that cyber attacks could also cause failures at hydroelectric dam facilities and disrupt power supply across regions. The International Commission on Large Dams said that more than 59,000 dams worldwide have reservoirs big enough to flood entire regions.
