Zurich Insurance denies merger speculation

Zurich Insurance Group A.G. said that it has no plans for a big merger despite speculation of a takeover bid by Allianz S.E., Reuters reported citing The Financial Times. "We do not believe in this large-scale multi-market approach to mergers and acquisitions, it is a huge distraction for the business," said George Quinn, chief financial officer at Zurich Insurance.
