City of London calls for mutual recognition of financial rules post Brexit

Charles Bowman, the City of London's Lord Mayor, has called for a Brexit deal that includes mutual recognition of the United Kingdom and European Union's financial rules to maintain access to each other's financial markets, Reuters reported. Under mutual recognition, the U.K. and the EU would agree to keep their rules similar, ensure close cooperation between regulators, and have an independent mechanism for resolving disputes.
