BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Catastrophe data firm increases estimate for January storm

Catastrophe data firm Perils A.G. raised its estimate for losses from European windstorm Egon.

Perils said on Wednesday that the storm caused €275 million in insurance losses.

The loss estimate for the January windstorm, which caused heavy rain and snowfall in France and Germany, is an increase from earlier estimates in February and April.
