Insurers' net income falls more than 2%

According to the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea, the nation's insurers' aggregate net income fell more than 2% year on year to about 6.2 trillion South Korean won ($5.4 billion) in 2016, Yonhap News Agency reported. Premium income grew almost 3% to more than KRW 195 trillion. Nonlife insurers' net income increased nearly 28% to around KRW 3.5 trillion.
