Elizabeth Bryan, chairwoman of Insurance Australia Group Ltd., has said that the decision by the insurer's board to expand into China was "too expensive and too risky," The Australian Financial Review reported. IAG retreated from China in October 2015 after investors protested against chief executive Peter Harmer's decision to invest a further $100 million in the nation.
