Swiss Re Ltd. has said in a report that stable economic growth in the South Asian frontier markets of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will continue to drive the growth of insurance sector in these markets, reports Asia Insurance Review.
The demand for insurance will increase in these markets owing to factors such as increasing urbanization and high natural catastrophe exposures.
Various government initiatives and regulatory challenges are constraining insurance penetration in the three markets, said the report.
