Volkswagen to recall 3,877 Vento sedans in IndiaReprints
Volkswagen A.G. said that it is recalling 3,877 of its Vento sedans in India after tests carried out by the Automotive Research Association of India found that carbon monoxide emission from the sedans exceeded the legal threshold limits.
The recall is restricted to 1.5-litre diesel engine with manual gearboxes, reports Business Standard.
Volkswagen has now temporarily suspended sales of the manual gearbox version of the Vento with this type of engine.
The automaker said that the new problem was not connected to the global emissions scandal.
